The Central Coast Senior Citizens Foundation (Foundation) is a public charity which performs effective and efficient fundraising activities to build an enduring source of public charitable funds for the benefit of Senior Citizens.
The purpose is to provide additional resources to the Central Coast Commission for Senior Citizens to support its mission. This will secure and maintain maximum independence and dignity in a home environment for older persons capable of self-care with appropriate supportive services.
Historically, the Central Coast Commission for Senior Citizens has relied entirely on State and Federal funds to support its programs to serve the needs of senior citizens in Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo counties.
As a result of State and Federal budgetary constraints, the amount of funding each year is unknown while the senior citizen population and its needs continue to increase. Because of these realities, the Foundation was formed to ensure the health and safety of our local senior citizens.
