The Santa Barbara Public Health Department and the Santa Barbara County Medical Reserve Corps are providing 750 free flu shots, including 250 Flu Mist vaccines, to people 2 years and older on Saturday Nov. 19 in Goleta and Lompoc from 10AM to 1PM.

Each year the Public Health Department operates its mass vaccination plan in a different Santa Barbara County community.

The November flu clinics provide the opportunity for residents to get a free flu shot to protect their health and also help the community prepare for an emergency.

The Centers for Disease Control is now recommending flu vaccinations to all children between 2 and 18 years old.

The event is funded through the federal Center for Disease Control (CDC) Public Health Emergency Preparedness Program.
